At present, there are three kinds of Tg values of PCB board, which are the most common ones, namely ordinary Tg130, medium Tg150 and high Tg170. The number represents the temperature. High Tg PCBs are generally used TG170 board. In other words, Tg value represents the heat resistance of PCB board. Common Tg board will soften and deform at high temperature, and the mechanical and electrical properties of PCB board will decrease rapidly after undergoing changes in hardness and strength, which may affect the service life of PCB at least, or lead to scrap of PCB at most.

1. Higher stability: If the Tg of PCB substrate is increased, it will automatically improve heat resistance, chemical resistance, moisture resistance and device stability.

4. Ideal for multilayer and HDI PCBs: Because multilayer and HDI PCBs are more compact and have dense circuits, they will result in elevated levels of heat dissipation. Therefore, high tg PCBs are commonly used in multilayer and HDI PCBs to ensure PCB manufacturing reliability.
